ABOUT

My dedication to Healing Kids as a Paediatrician began over 20 years ago – spanning across 2 provinces in South Africa. During this time, I proudly built a legacy of long lasting relationships with my young patients as well as with their loving parents and caregivers.

QUALIFICATIONS

After obtaining my medical degree at the University of Witwatersrand, I specialised as a Paediatrician at the Nelson Mandela School of Medicine & King Edward Hospital in Durban, Kwazulu Natal. I then worked as a Junior Consultant in Paediatric Nephrology for 18 months at the King Edward Hospital.

CAREER

I started private practice as a general Paediatrician at the Life Crompton hospital in Pinetown, Durban for 6 years; and then moved my practice to Netcare Alberlito in Ballito, where I practised for a further 7 years before relocating to Gauteng in January 2014.

DR NAICKER TODAY

I currently practise in Bryanston in the North of Johannesburg and perform all hospital-based work at the Sandton Medi-Clinic

Practising paediatrics often feels like searching for a needle in a haystack.

I find it challenging because my work is very reliant on clinical acumen – but the long term relationships built with children and families makes paediatrics deeply rewarding. Being a mother to twins myself has placed me in the ideal position to bridge the gap of understanding between my little patients and their concerned parents.

I see myself as an educator to parents of sick children and find it extremely rewarding to be able to create such a dynamic link of communication between parent and child through my paediatric work.

I am deeply passionate about my work because I consider children to be one of life’s most precious little miracles.
